Been back for a couple of days now - there was meant to be a giant post of Kalbarri related goodness... but I think we're too relaxed to be bothered. :P Here's the summary: Sand is still in my car, which is still covered in dead bugs and red dirt. There was hiking, insane cliffs, jumping in the river, canoeing, fish and chips on the jetty, camping, fishing, fic writing (:P) and SO MUCH Vicar of Dibley. I didn't have the slightest clue how dirty that show was! Best thing: dragging out our chairs so we could sit in front of the river and drink our tea and dnm in the mornings.
J and I spent the entire day yesterday planning our trip. The Greek public transport system is fricken UNDECIPHERABLE - even with the English translation turned on. On the upside, after a few hours we managed to become pretty good at sounding out the characters and translating the timetables! TripAdvisor.com is an absolute legend. On the downside, from the Kili climb onwards, we're going to be on our feet from around 6:30 every day (earlier on some), catching trains, hiking, catching buses all over the place. I feel tired just thinking about it hehe. With the release of results looming next Monday, can't help but feel sick to my stomach at the thought of getting the phonecall. So I'm trying my best not to think of it (but its there! everytime I do something on the assumption that I'll pass).
Ando made me watch Moon tonight. Usually I'm a bit hesitant to see the things he fanboys (learnt my lesson after watching John Safran's Race Relations with him - dear god that show is almost painfully awkward/disgusting), but on this occasion I am so glad I did. A really simple film that only had 10 actors credited, but really there were 2 for the majority of the film. Adon's said it's his dream to go into space, but I'm not brave enough for that. I'm pretty comfortable with being by myself in general, but the absolute detachment of space just scares me no end. I reckon thats why swimming in the ocean (where its just darkness below you) freaks me out (although this is to a much lesser extent). Kevin Spacey has a really soothing voice - spent most of the film wanting to glomp Gerty. Soundtrack was pretty amazing as well - someones uploaded the entire thing to youtube :)
Icon overhaul! :D

weave a dream?

I didn't like the idea of staying alone at first. But at times like these, where the house is quiet, the traffic has died down, the dishes clean, the fish are fed, you're guaranteed food for the night and you finally have a decent topic for that stupid Aboriginal health talk due next week; times like these, it doesn't seem so bad.
So we got bored on monday and decided to dye Ando's hair red! My turn next weekend :D
